☆グローバルトップティーの始まり☆
KuboShokai opened an online shop in Tokyo in October 2014, aiming to be a store where customers can enjoy the finest aroma and taste.
The black tea sold in Japan was black tea that could only be drunk while eating sweet snacks or chocolate.
There were a few exceptions, such as Darjeeling black tea, which was drunk only by the wealthy.
So we opened a store that sold high-quality black teas from around the world that would satisfy customers with just black tea. The name was Global-Top-Tea, to be exact.

KuboShokai was founded on February 1, 2006. We aim to create a peaceful and prosperous world through global communication by utilizing IT technology. The Internet, created by mankind, can only be considered a treasure if it is used well. Isn't it important to overcome differences in economic development levels, cultures and religions and promote mutual understanding and respect? We will participate in the global tea business as a place to develop IT systems, exchange business, and put it into practice. And we will continue to grow together with people all over the world.

私の師匠の口ぐせは、やるなら一流をめざせ、二流の目標では二流にさえ手が届かない。紅茶の輸入でダージリンに友達ができました。その中に超有名なダージリンの茶園のマネージャーを務めた経験の持ち主がいました。彼は「あなたがトップクラスの紅茶を売るなら、普通の紅茶はあまり売らない方がいいよ」と言った。言葉通りに受け取っておきつつ普通の紅茶も置いていた。その後なぜかトップクラスの紅茶を輸出してくれる茶園に恵まれ始めた。一流をめざせ！はこころに残る言葉です。

Good old Sri Lanka
I first set foot on Sri Lankan soil in April 2004. It was after this that I began my tea exploration. 20 years ago, Sri Lanka was in the midst of a civil war. I stayed in Nigumbo, a town packed with tourist hotels. I drank tea during the day, and in the cool evenings, I had a beer party with friends at a beach terrace restaurant run by the hotel. Sri Lanka is a country where you have curry for every meal, but there is also plenty of Chinese and Indian food that goes well with beer. A chilled Tiger beer was 100 yen, and when I went to the supermarket, rice was 36 yen per kilogram. California rice, which I found to be to my taste, was 80 yen per kilogram. It was an easy country to live in.
